ENHANCED INTIMACY AND EXTRAORDINARY SEX FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE
We live in a pleasure phobic society. This was not always the case. A glance into history illustrates the beauty and abundance of sensual, sexual art. Any conceivable sexual position or eroticism has been tried, documented, filmed or poetry written to acclaim it. It’s hard to believe the Kama Sutra is nothing more than a collection of pictures from Hindu Temples still standing today in Kajaroho, India! Imagine a day when such honor could be given to sexual expression? After the sexual excesses of the 1960’s, we are in the pendulum swing of prohibition on sexual pleasure. It is timely to bring a little common sense to the paranoia.
Look around in order to learn, broaden your horizons, and gain information. This will help you break out of any lonely, isolated, unfulfilling practices in which you find yourself. Remember that every sexual act should be between consenting adults. It is never okay to pressure or manipulate in order to get what you want sexually; that equals abuse. Children should never be exposed to adult sexuality. However, teaching children from an early age to respect their parents’ privacy is essential to healthy development in their own lives ahead as well as maintaining a loving relationship. Telling them “When Mom and Dad’s bedroom door is closed you must not disturb us” is establishing respectful boundaries. Hugging and kissing in front of the children demonstrates love and affection and is appropriate behavior. Also foot caresses can be done while watching TV and again illustrates loving touch to your children in a non-sexual way. Given those preliminary basic rules, everything else between lovers is negotiable.
Whether you or your loved one is recovering from a physical trauma or dealing with personal sexual issues that seem insurmountable, Dr. Fisher can help you.
